Fights Break Out Across Charles County High School In Between Classes

Several Charles County high school students are being investigated after multiple fights took place over a class change, officials say.

Numerous Henry E. Lackey High School students reportedly became involved in several altercations across the school in between classes on Monday, Feb. 27, according to the Charles County Sheriff's office.

The school resource officer was able to step in and separate the students, some of whom had minor injuries.

Injured students were treated by the school nurse.

The school resource officer forwarded the information to the Charles County State's Attorney's Office regarding any criminal charges pertaining to the fights.

Involved students are also facing disciplinary action from the school.
